| M. Peter Süss is a visiting scholar from the German Wintershall AG. Peter is a former post-doctoral fellow of the Harvard Structural Geology & Earth Resources Group. He became assistant professor at the University Tübingen in the year 1999 and received his habilitation in Geology and the degree of a Privat Dozent in summer 2005. Since 2006 he is working for Wintershall AG in Kassel, Germany. He was implementing and coordinating the velocity modeling efforts of the group and compiling the Southern California Velocity Model.
